Safety
YOUR SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY AT LIQUICITY FESTIVAL.
Together with the community, visitors, crew, security and experts in the field, we formulated this policy to address all forms of unwanted behavior: sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying, aggression and violence.
Please take a moment to review the information below so you know what to do if you ever feel unsafe at Liquicity Festival.
Also keep an eye out for your fellow festival visitor and if you think something is going on, ask them if they are okay or need help. This policy applies to all visitors, crew, artists, security, external vendors and others affiliated with the festival.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH UNWANTED BEHAVIOUR?
Please go to any member of our crew (security, first aid, crew or merchandise) or email [email protected] and explain the situation. This can be as brief as “I need help” and there is no need to go into detail if you don’t want to. You can recognize our crew also by the Liquicity safety emblem. These crewmembers will connect you to the central command center.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A REPORT OF UNWANTED BEHAVIOUR?
1. Your report will be logged (anonymously if preferred). This allows us to take better action against repeated offenders.
2. Depending on the gravity of the situation and always in deliberation with you who has experienced the unwanted behavior, the security team can take several actions: observe, warn, exclude someone from the festival or hand over to the police.
3. The security team will continue to monitor the reported person, if this person wasn’t directly excluded from the festival, to make sure unwanted behavior will not take place anymore. We want to emphasis that all reports are logged so well-considered choices can be taken, in line with this safety policy. Please don’t hesitate to report any unwanted behavior, even if you are not sure if it is serious enough!
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE TALKING TO SECURITY OR CREW?
Security and other crew generally work ‘independently’ from each other. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to security, please find other crew members. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to crew members, please find someone from the security team. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to anyone related to Liquicity for whatever reason, you can also email our external safety officer via [email protected]
