Cashless

As in past years, Liquicity Festival uses a cashless payment system. You can pay for everything with your festival wristband which you receive upon entry, holding the special currency ‘LIQ’ (1 LIQ = €3.80).

  • 🌐 You can top-up with iDeal (free), Credit Card (+2%), Bancontact (free), Apple Pay (+2%) with your phone (online)
  • 💳 You can also top-up with Cash (free, camping shop), Debit Card (free, festival & camping shop) and Credit Card (free, festival & camping shop) at the top-up stations (offline)
  • ☀️ Your wristband is free and starts with 0 balance
  • 🥳 Wristbands cannot be taken off making it difficult to lose your funds
  • 💨 Shorter queues and walking times due to easier online phone top-ups
  • 🚨 Pick up a Group Wallet card in the camping shop (0.5 LIQ) to share top-ups and expenses!

1) Top-up & view balance

  • Online: Scan the QR-code on your wristband for online top-up and to view your balance
  • Offline: Go to the Cashless Top-Up station on the festival or campsite grounds to Top-Up and to ask what your balance is.

2) Pay with your wristband

  • Hold your wristband against the payment terminal to pay
  • Look at the terminal or ask the staff member to see your new balance

Restitution

  • You can refund your remaining LIQ balance between Tuesday 29 July 2025 – 11:00 CEST and Tuesday August 12th 2025 – 11:00 CEST via festival.liquicity.com.
  • Restitution fees: IBAN 1 LIQ, PayPal 2 LIQ.

  • Double charge, missing deposit or other issues? Visit the Cashless Top-Up station in the camping shop for support if you experience issues with your wristband.

You can view the balance of your wristband in three ways:

  1. Scan the QR-code (or hold your phone near the chip)
  2. Go to a Cashless Top-up station
  3. Ask bar/food staff after paying

You can top up the LIQ balance on your wristband in two ways:

  1. Scan the QR-code on your wristband to top-up online
  2. Go to one of the Cashless Top-up stations on the festival or campsite
    • The top-up stations in the camping shop are staffed, you can pay with cash, credit card and debit card
    • The top-up stations on the festival are not staffed, you can only pay with credit card and debit card

Yes! There are several online payment methods that you can use. Simply scan the QR-code on your wristband, select an amount of LIQ tokens and choose the payment method you prefer. If you can’t find anything suitable, you can visit one of the Cashless Top-Up stations.

Go to the Cashless Top-up station in the camping shop for support from the cashless crew. They will verify whether your wristband was charged double and can restitute one of the payments.

It is currently not possible to buy LIQ tokens before you arrive. As soon as you have your wristband, you will be able to top-up your balance using your phone or via one of the Cashless Top-up Stations.

If you can’t top-up your balance by scanning the QR-code, pay at the terminals, or your wristband broke, please go to the Cashless Top-up station in the camping shop for support.

Yes! The restitution form to refund any remaining LIQ tokens will be available from Tuesday 29 July 11:00 CEST to Tuesday 12 August 11:00 CEST.

After Tuesday 12 August 2025, it is no longer possible to request restitution.

The restitution fee depends whether you use IBAN (1 LIQ) or PayPal (2 LIQ).

You receive your wristband when you enter Liquicity Festival, and you must wear it at all times. Without your wristband, security has to assume that you accessed the grounds illegally. If your wristband is lost, find a security guard explain the situation.

Without your wristband, it is not possible to request restitution.

Cashless wristbands and cards from previous years are not supported.
